Most of Angelas work has been related with the art of dream imagery. With a surrealistic touch but still having a sense of reality. Still associated with the language of psychoanalysis, her work is also conceptually based around issues of gender identity, which involves a close subject/model.
“I believe that everything in life involves people, objects and places which is why my choice of location when photographing always include these three elements.”
Working in both commercial and conceptual frameworks, her work includes studio photography and tends to use artificial light in all her images. She also manipulates existing light in order to form shadows and have a set lit to her preference. Her work is shot digitally and usually retouched on screen. |
